The comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (C/2023 A3) is seen over Torre Squillace, near Lecce, Italy, on October 13, 2024. The comet's coma, or head, measures around 130,000 miles (209,000 kilometers) in diameter, with a tail extending 18 million miles (29 million kilometers). It is not expected to return for another 80,000 years.
